Facts about me!!!
- My Middle name is Alex, for the simple reason that it was what Mum wanted to call me but it was my Dad’s turn to choose the name. Either way I am eternally grateful that they did not go with my brothers choice…Wendy.
When I was coming into the world my Dad was reading the Auto-Trader and eating a packet of crisps. Yes, I am being serious. Then when I finally arrived he insulted me twice! Firstly, for being a ginger and secondly, for having super small ears.
On the subject of ginger, my brown hair grew in when I was five. So I had huge brown roots that made it look like my Mum had been dyeing my hair ginger.
I broke both of my wrists BEFORE I turned one…Clumsy is part of my natural state! More of my bones of snapped since. Not to mention the bruises that always paint me a riot of colour.
I am a dancer but I wasn’t always…My Mum tried when I was 3, she did, but this stubborn girl just wasn’t having it. Despite being related to a three time World Champion in Irish dance, toddler Vic looked at the wigs and said I AM NOT PUTTING THAT ON MY HEAD! I did go to Tap and Ballet class but hated it and quit. I eventually fell in love with it age 11.
I have spent my life either onstage or backstage – Alongside dance, I sang with a choir from age 9 through to 18 and acted from age 12 through to 18.
I can recite large chunks of Shakespeare from memory.
I have had the same group of best friends since I was 11 years old (Although, I have known some of them since I was 7) They are my Ohana.
During my time in University I was a competitive dancer and team choreographer. That team is where I met my soul sister.
I have a Bachelor of the Arts (Honours) in History, upper second class 2:1. I cried tears of joy on results day.
My ultimate career goal is to be a Detective Sargent in CID.
Sally was the first adorable human bean to nominate me! Click this to read! Her wonderful blog! She is such a Sunshine and I adore her writing style. The first time I read her blog I read the whole thing in one sitting #noshame
1.What’s your favourite item of clothing?
Shorts! Everyone knows that I firmly believe trousers are in fact leg prisons
2. If you could have any animal for a pet, what would it be?
3. Can you describe yourself in one sentence?
She is not at all what she seems, that innocent baby face that often looks haughty is quick to laugh and smile; she has enough ambition to fill the skies and enough quirks to fill the ocean, she is unashamedly individual.
4. What’s your favourite Disney film?
This is cruel Sally! CRUEL I TELL YOU! We’ll just go with the character on my name tag, Pete’s Dragon the original (The re-make was an abomination against Disney)
5. Favourite childhood memory?
All the places my parents took me, so lucky to have travelled the world. I’m now 22 and have seen 53 places all over the world.
6. Are you organised?
Extremely! My Ohana long ago labelled me the organiser, literally to the point of my friends will text me a date they are coming home on and ask me to organise a social event.
7. What’s your favourite quote?
She believed she could so she did.
8. Which fictional character do you identify with most?
People have said I’m like Jane from the Volturi (Twilight) because I look so innocent and I will actually eat you alive. But personally I’d say I’m like Peter Pan, mischievous and a child at heart who never wants to grow up.
9. Would you like to be shorter or taller than you are now?
I actually really like my height! (For reference I’m 5’6)
10. How do other people describe you?
If we were going with the in three words method they would probably say: Loud, Honest and Excitable
11. Tell me about your perfect day?
I wake up tangled in crisp white sheets, luxuriate in the ability to be lazy and eventually jump down from my bunk. I find my bikini and a cover up, toss my hair in a bun, feel blindly for my sunglasses, jam them on, grab my backpack and make for the door. My patchy sunburned legs navigate miles of corridor and endless flights of stairs. Before I emerge onto a sun drenched pool deck, my own personal heaven on this earth. There are yet more stairs but I’ve eaten a lot of cake so I don’t moan – I reach my favourite viewing spot and lean idly on the railings as the miles of azure blue ocean transform into a stunning new port to explore.
The second blogger to nominate me was the girl who introduced me to all the other young UK cruisers. She adopted me in a sense! My guide to the new community I had entered into, that is Sanna Click this to read! her blog!

Depends on your definition of travel! I am half Scottish so I remember driving up there from a very young age. But my earliest travel memory outside of UK shores was when my parents took me to Disneyland Paris age 3.

New York! New York is ALWAYS a good idea. If you have never been then I’m afraid you just won’t understand, it truly is a world in its own right.
3. If you could do any job in the world, what would it be?
A detective sergeant in CID, I always say I’m going to be sergeant before I’m 30. There is ambition in my veins!

PASTA! Carbs are life.

Self host from the start! Because making the move is a royal pain in the booty
6. When and why did you start blogging?
In February, when ITV’s The Cruise was on I wrote a really sarcastic tweet that Princess should give me a prize because I am a Platinum member at just 22. Princess ignored my sass but a specialist cruise company based in Southampton called Ocean World Travel were interested in my vast experience. They wanted to know how I ended up with a cruise addiction and why as a young person I loved it so much. I wrote a guest post for them and quite firmly got the blogging bug! If you want to check out my first ever blog post you can find it at Click this to read!
