During my stay on MSC Virtuosa, I was invited to sample the delights of the Yacht Club. MSC describes Yacht Club as ‘a ship within a ship’ and I must profess that is the perfect description! When you step into the Yacht Club, it really is as though you have stepped onto a different ship altogether. In this secluded hideaway, you can savor exclusivity and privacy.
If you have never heard of Yacht Club before, it is best summed up as a cabin grade. All cabin’s belonging to this grade are grouped together in a particular area of the ship; on MSC Virtuosa this was the upper forward section of the ship. Staying within the Yacht Club does not mean that you have to shell out for a suite! Every kind of cabin grade exists within Yacht Club from inside to sprawling suite, whatever suits your cruise party MSC has got it covered.
Staying in a Yacht Club cabin means that you can indulge in the luxury of a private club that gives you a world of choice! Yacht Club cabins come with Butler service 24 hours a day and a dedicated concierge – as well as a sun deck, pool, hot tubs, bars, and dining room that are exclusively reserved for those staying in this luxury world. It would be easy to bask in opulence the entire time you were on board but remember you still have access to a myriad of recreation and entertainment possibilities throughout the ship. When staying in Yacht Club you get the best of both worlds! A private oasis of peace to retreat to and an action-packed ship to explore.
Normally, I am in an inside cabin or occasionally a balcony, I have certainly never booked anything as swish as the Yacht Club. But I definitely had my head turned by this experience! Yacht Club, in my opinion, is worth every penny. The personalized service (they hand-delivered ice cream while you were sunbathing), the exclusivity, and joy of a private world, the fine dining (the food quality in Yacht Club was absolutely out of this world), and the best view I have ever had during dinner. Next time I sail MSC I hope it will be in Yacht Club – I just have to persuade whoever I am sailing with.
